This Area Added the Most New Cloud Areas in 2023


Globally, 23 new cloud areas have been launched in 2023.

Let’s break that down by area. Which area added probably the most? And which areas contributed zero?

Europe: 8

Europe added probably the most new cloud areas in 2023, with eight being launched (up from seven in 2022).

Center East: 6

The widely underserved Mideast market has been lively in cloud infrastructure improvement for the previous couple of years. Six new cloud areas have been launched in 2023, second solely to Europe.

Asia & Oceania: 5

New cloud areas proceed to be added in Asia and Oceania, although at a much less intense tempo and solely in two nations in 2023. Three new areas launched in China, and two launched in Australia.

Latin America: 4

Just like the Mideast, Latin America had no cloud areas—besides in Brazil—till lately. Prior to now two years, LatAm has been rising at a quick tempo, including 5 new areas (4 in 2023 alone).

Africa and the U.S. & Canada: 0
